Mad Duchesses Anthology

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to re-release the Mad Duchesses anthology on August 15th, a four book series about widows (who happen to be duchesses) looking to start life anew.

In this anthology are the novellas titled: One Last Night, From Now On, Age of Innocence and The Day After. Three of the four stories I just LOVE. That's correct, I don't 'love' everything I write but I'm not going to tell you which one so you'll have to read them all.

I've already done new covers for the stand-a-lone novellas and I'm doing a new cover for the anthology, which I will post soon. If you've read one, but not the others, I'm going to run a special .99 cent sale for 30 days (up until the release of my next contemporary on September 15th) so you can get all four for a great price!

During CV19, I was busy completing the two-book contemporary series about the Charbonneau Twins - hope you've gotten to read PEAK, which has already release. PINNACLE doesn't release until September 15th though. These stories were bugging me for about seven years and the characters wouldn't go away. Glad to have them all on paper now!

So, now I'm planning out my 2021 release schedule. Maybe I'm being a bit too ambitious but I'm shooting for FOUR regency romance releases! Can I do it? EEK! I'm going to try since several of them are already halfway to the finish line. I am determined to finish the WICKED AFFAIRS series and I have two books to go: Wicked Ember and Wicked Scandal.

Look for the new cover coming soon! And re-release date of August 15, 2020!!

What's Next? A Summer Full of Great Reads!

It's going to be a busy summer, with releases nearly every month until September, I think.

Book Two in the Far From Home series will be released around June 1st. This title, Lessons in Fly Fishing, is a second chances story about high school sweethearts who could never get it together. Finally at their 20th high school reunion, the time is right.

Sometime during June, my next Ellora's Cave novella will be out. Book Three in the Mad Duchesses series, title Age of Innocence is a great story about sexual inexperience and the expert teacher but in a complete roll reversal. Ferd has only been with one woman and he doesn't want to suffer the same humiliation with his new, twice-wed duchess. Let's just say Ferd has a trigger problem.

By the first week in July, Book Three in Far From Home series will be ready. I love this story as my couple meets in Greece! I'm waffling on the title for this story but I have to get the cover ordered soon, so I'd better make up my mind!

And then, Book Four the final story in the Mad Duchesses series will be available. The Day After is a heart-wrenching story about honor and duty and loyalty to a best friend. What would you do if you loved your best friend's wife? I've always wanted to write a Scottish hero - I think you will love him.

One Last Night: Release Day Coming Up

One Last Night releases on April 10th from Ellora's Cave Publishing. This is the start of a new series currently called Mad Duchesses. Each story features a duchess facing a changed future and a surprising (and sometimes inappropriate) love interest.

A dark past and unrequited love make John’s life difficult until he is offered the chance to spend one night with sensual, widowed duchess Lucinda Aversham. Pleasure he can provide, but one night with the woman he loves won’t be enough. Neither will living a half existence as he watches her from afar.
Lucy wants to experience a night of exquisite passion. She doesn't want to know the man’s name or see his face. She wants to know pleasure—in any way her mysterious lover can provide.
When an unwelcome note from her one-time lover arrives, Lucy knows she must have him again. But she could lose everything if she is exposed.

One Last Night: A Blurb

As requested by Janemary, a short tease of a blurb from One Last Night:

The Duchess of Wallingford waited a year and a day before she threw off her widow’s weeds, dressed in a simple gray muslin gown with a humble neckline and arranged for an unmarked carriage, which would take her to Madame Dupuis’ whorehouse.

She was going for the oldest reason of all.

Preparations for such an affair were more difficult than she had imagined because one didn’t ask gossipy friends how to arrange such a liaison—one asked the discreet, worldly friends but in such a way as to imply shocked curiosity rather than an unwavering fascination and a determination to partake.

When Madame Dupuis had inquired as to the type of man Lucinda would like to engage, the Abbess had mistakenly believed she wished to entertain certain passions with a man similar to her departed husband. While the Duchess of Wallingford was married, she had been the envy of her friends, a perfect example of how to marry properly.

Wallingford was handsome, charming and wealthy with only six years between them, but none of that mattered or changed the fact he was beyond cruel and believed that the one person in this life to whom he should have been devoted was the last person for whom he held any regard. She did not want a man with golden-blond hair or piercing blue eyes. She did not want superficial appeal.

She’d requested a man—any man—who had brown hair and soft brown eyes, though she could not risk a liaison with a noble. Other than that, his station did not matter, only that he was clean and would treat her with tender regard in the bedchamber for this one night—a guarantee considering Madame Dupuis’ reputation for sensual entertainment. And for what the Duchess was paying…

Coming soon from Ellora's Cave.
