Mad Duchesses Anthology

Hi everyone,

I'm getting ready to re-release the Mad Duchesses anthology on August 15th, a four book series about widows (who happen to be duchesses) looking to start life anew.

In this anthology are the novellas titled: One Last Night, From Now On, Age of Innocence and The Day After. Three of the four stories I just LOVE. That's correct, I don't 'love' everything I write but I'm not going to tell you which one so you'll have to read them all.

I've already done new covers for the stand-a-lone novellas and I'm doing a new cover for the anthology, which I will post soon. If you've read one, but not the others, I'm going to run a special .99 cent sale for 30 days (up until the release of my next contemporary on September 15th) so you can get all four for a great price!

During CV19, I was busy completing the two-book contemporary series about the Charbonneau Twins - hope you've gotten to read PEAK, which has already release. PINNACLE doesn't release until September 15th though. These stories were bugging me for about seven years and the characters wouldn't go away. Glad to have them all on paper now!

So, now I'm planning out my 2021 release schedule. Maybe I'm being a bit too ambitious but I'm shooting for FOUR regency romance releases! Can I do it? EEK! I'm going to try since several of them are already halfway to the finish line. I am determined to finish the WICKED AFFAIRS series and I have two books to go: Wicked Ember and Wicked Scandal.

Look for the new cover coming soon! And re-release date of August 15, 2020!!

Release Day: The Day After

My favorite day as a writer is always release day. This one coming up is extra special since it will be the release of the final novella in the Mad Duchesses' series.

The Day After is all about unrequited love, that of our hero Dashiel Hamilton. He has loved Laura since they first met but there was another suitor who won her heart and her hand - his best friend, the Duke of Mabry. He's loved her from afar because he would never do anything to jeopardize his lifelong friendship with Mabry.

Until the day after...

Mabry finally succumbs to the wounds of a riding accident and Laura is devastated. She turns to Dashiel for comfort but they get much more than they bargained for. The day after Mabry's death, Dashiel's greatest wish comes true but Laura is horrified she has betrayed Mabry.

Find out what happens the day after...

And did you know this about the Mad Duchesses' series...

In Book One, One Last Night, the famed Abbess Madame Alice Dupuis (from the Wicked Affairs' series) helps Lucinda fulfill her lustful dreams and that John Allen (our well-endowed hero) was once a gigolo at the brothel.

Or this?

In Book Three, the Honorable Ferdinand Ford, Ferddie to his friends, is the competitive sportsman who enjoys horses and boxing along with other sorts of manly pursuits and is the hero of Age of Innocence. He appears in Wicked Temptation, where he played billiards with the Duke of Pelham. And in Wicked Secrets where he was riding with Charles Standifer, the Earl of Archer.

Release Day: Lessons in Mountain Climbing

Far From Home, a new contemporary romance series.

I'm really excited that today the first book in my new series is being released. Lessons in Mountain Climbing is the story of Rane Kirk, recluse billionaire. He had his fill of paparazzi early in his life and has chosen a private life in the mountains of Colorado.

I love my heroine Kinzey Vance. She's all about family, even though she was adopted as a baby. She is the eldest of four siblings and they have helped her accomplish a dream made possible by seed money from Rane Kirk's grant program. Only it is years too late for her to make Rane believe she actually accomplished such great things, not when Kirk is impossible to reach.

When she arrives at his mountain home, it isn't Kirk who sparks her interest, but the gardener Bill O'Toole. Now it is Bill who is determined to keep her from Rane Kirk and the larger than life persona of Kirk that is keeping them apart.

Well, I don't have to tell you the big secret. Hopefully, you've figured it out. Bill O'Toole is Rane Kirk's alter ego. As O'Toole he is free to do as he pleases without the interference of fame. Oh, and he hasn't forgotten Kinzey, he hasn't forgotten that she did nothing with her grant money and he hasn't forgotten the attraction he always felt for her.

It's a sexy, sweet story about the power of love and family. And what to do when your dreams could easily be shattered by the one person who might make all the difference in a lonely life.

Hope you enjoy this new series. Book Two, Lessons in Fly Fishing releases next month!

Over at Ellora's Cave, the next Mad Duchesses series book is undergoing edits. The title? Age of Innocence. Yes, that is where I am heading as soon as I hit 'publish' on this blog post. I am doing first round edits and should have back to my editor in a few days. Hopefully this will be released sometime in June. Here's the cover.

Release Day for From Now On, Book Two in the Mad Duchesses series.

Great news. The second in the Mad Duchesses series will be available on January 29th from Ellora's Cave.

I love this story - I know I say that about every story I write! Well, this is one of the best and most used plot lines - lost love.

This story plot is  number 35 on Georges Polti's 36 Dramatic Situations list - recovery of a lost one. I don't claim to write original plot lines, I just put my own twist on the story. I love this list. It's a great resource when identifying the single thread of a story.

Sebastian and Grace were once close friends - he the second son of an earl and she the ton beauty, betrothed to the Duke of Hammond. Young Sebastian enjoyed his life too much to worry about marriage while Grace loved him deeply.

When she was gone, when he realized there wasn't another woman such as Grace, he understood the depth of his mistake.

And then the shocking news - the scandal of the last Season in London - Grace had been horribly scarred by her drunken husband, and then in the space of a week she was left a widow.

He was not going to waste another opportunity. From now on, he would be the man she needed.
